Busselton artist Steve Vigors is about to be broadcast around the world and featured in an Australian television series Colour in Your Life.
The show is hosted by Australian artist Graeme Stevenson OAM who travels the world interviewing artists in seven countries.
The show is broadcasted to a global audience of tens of millions of people in 14 countries on hundreds of television stations, apps and social networking platforms.
It is the first time Western Australian artists have featured on the show in four years.
Mr Stevenson likened the well known series to Billy Connolly and The Two Hairy Bikers.
"I ride a Harley Davidson around different countries and we go to well known artists' studios and film them for the television series," he said.
"We enable the artists to have a brilliant marketing and advertising tool they simply never had before.
"They then come under a much wider umbrella that enables everybody to be marketed and pushed into different areas.
"It has proven to be quite successful for many of the artists, video is the most powerful tool that is out there these days.
"Most artists just wait and hope someone walks through the door and discovers them, but that does not happen anymore.
"Obviously with the ability of the internet and what we have developed it makes it easier for artists.
"While it is never easy being an artist, the show makes it easier for the artist to get recognition and get out there a lot faster than they normally would.
"I spoke to Steve a couple of months ago, we had not been to WA in four years, I thought it was about time we got over there, which I am glad we did because there were a whole bunch of people interested in working with us."
Mr Vigors said he was elated to find out he would be featured on the show.
"To go from a little fish to in a little pond, to a little fish in a bigger pond is exciting," he said.
"It is a great opportunity to promote my artwork, which will hopefully take me to the next level and get my work visually out there."
While Colour In Your Life is being filmed in WA other artists who will be featured on the show include Leon Holmes and Helen Norton.
Following the WA trip, the crew will head to the US to interview artists in New York, Vermont and New Jersey before heading to Hong Kong.
"The end result is artists like Steve will get a great deal of benefit doing this, it is a tool for them, and we will do whatever we can to film as many places and artists as we can," Mr Stevenson said.
