Hundreds of school leavers have taken to Meelup Beach on Wednesday, November 20, as the week-long end of school celebration draws to a close.
The year 12 graduates indulged in a number of beach activities at the Don't Drink & Drown Meelup Beach Day, which featured a DJ, a photo booth, a temporary tattoo station and a number of food outlets.
The annual event, hosted by Royal Life Saving Society WA, was also attended by St John Ambulance, Red Frogs and WA Police.
Several police on patrol during the event praised the teenagers for being well-behaved and respectful throughout this year's festivities, which ran from Monday, November 18, until Thursday, November 21.
This year has seen a record number of school leavers take to the South West, with as many as 8,500 students from across the state attending.
