Talented singer songwriter Sofia Watt from Dunsborough has just released three singles showing she has "huge potential" for a career in the music industry.
Still in high school, the 16 year old recorded three songs with South West music producer Sean Lillico at his Fur Real Studio in Yallingup.
Described as Dunsborough's "finest young singer", Lillico said Sofia was one of the finest vocalists he's had the pleasure of working with.
"Her vocals are outstanding, and she has a wonderful personality - we have a lot of laughs in the studio together. I really hope she gets the attention that she deserves," he said.
"It can be a tough industry to navigate for young, up-and-coming musicians, with money and influence dictating who becomes successful - especially in a world where there are thousands of new songs released every day.
"If anybody from our community deserves a successful singing career, it is Sofia."
Sofia worked with Lillico to write and produce three songs together titled Fialess, which have recently been released online.
"It was great and the first big thing I have ever done," Sofia said.
"Late last year I wanted to enter the Triple J Unearthed High competition so I called Sean and and ended up doing very well on that.
"It was a song called Time Apart, which we recorded in three days to get in by the deadline.
"That is where it kind of started, I said to him, where do you think we could go to from here?
"Working with Sean has been amazing, he is very talented and I really enjoyed working with him."
Hailing from a musical family, Sofia said she has always been surrounded by music growing up and had been singing long before she could speak properly.
"My mum has been a very big influence with my music, she and my family are very supportive of me," she said.
You can checkout Sofia playing live at the Raising the Vibe Youth Festival in Busselton on October 16, or checkout her music from music download stores online.
