Whilst the sun only promised glimpses it did ensure no rain would spoil the two-day event and the organisers could breathe a sigh of relief.
Twenty-eight teams took part in this popular event with twelve teams travelling from the metropolitan area.
At the close of day one last year's winners Mosman Park was on top of the ladder and was looking strong under skip Lisa Featherby.
However, the opening game of day two saw that team lose and the competition became wide open.
Lucy Tinley from Leeming led her team into a draw and became one point up above twelve teams and the game was on.
Any of thirteen teams could win the competition at the close of day.
It was Leeming that held their nerve.
Tinley skipped her team to a win and collect the three required points and in the meantime Featherby's Mosman Park team won also to ensure second place.
Bev Scott led her Capel team into third place.
Dunsborough's next corporate bowls competition will start on November 9 and 10.
