A 61-year old woman from Geographe died at the scene of a fatal car accident on the Bussell Highway near Capel on Saturday afternoon.

Major Crash officers are investigating the crash that occurred in Capel around 4:45pm after a green coloured Toyota Landcruiser collided with a white Toyota Rav4.
The Landcruiser was travelling north in the south bound lanes of Bussell Highway when it collided with the car that was travelling south on Bussell Highway, approximately 100 metres south of the Capel Drive intersection.
The Landcruiser rolled over and the driver was thrown from the vehicle before it came to rest right side up and caught on fire.
The driver, a 45 year old man from Usher was the sole occupant of the Landcruiser. He sustained critical injuries in the crash and was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.
A 61 year old woman from Geographe who was the driver of the Toyota Rav4 died at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle, a 54 year old woman from Busselton, suffered life threatening injuries in the crash and was conveyed by ambulance to the Bunbury Health Campus.
Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the crash or the Toyota Landcruiser prior to the crash travelling on Wonnerup Beach, Busselton, Layman Road, Busselton and Bussell Highway from Busselton to the Capel Drive intersection.

A person who was in the area at the time, Jake Mangini, told the Mail a vehicle had been travelling on the wrong side of the road shortly before the accident.
Mr Mangini said he was travelling along Layman Road with his wife and children when they saw a vehicle overtaking another ahead of them.
He said the car did not return to the left lane and he had been forced to swerve off the road to avoid a collision.
“Right after the incident I contacted police to notify them about what happened and where the car was heading.”
