Rate increase expected in city’s next budget
It is expected that ratepayers will face a 3.85 per cent rate increase when the City of Busselton introduces its budget for the next financial year.
The figure was revealed at last week’s council meeting when former mayor Ian Stubbs questioned the council about public consultation for the Eastern Link and how much rates would increase.
City of Busselton mayor Grant Henley said at the council meeting the rates were going to be increased by 4.25 per cent but would most likely be 3.85 per cent.
