A retired couple came home from an overnight stay to find their home had been broken into, their bedroom ransacked and their most cherished possessions stolen.
Police, The Shire and volunteers were preparing for Leavers. The introduction of a new liquor law, new leavers-only venue located off Vasse-Yallingup Siding Road, and an extensive bus network to and from the site aimed to lessen the negative impact the event had on the Dunsborough community.
