Parenting is changing.
Today's modern world often sees families where both parents work, as well as single parent families and families with no family support from grandparents due to work commitments or distance.
Today more than ever, families need something beyond a traditional care service.
That's why Jane Chambers opened the first Bluebird centre in a small blue house in Clydebank Avenue back in 2002 while she was studying her teaching degree.
"From the start, we knew we wanted to offer the community something different: a service that caters for lifestyle as well as caring for and educating children," Jane said.
Since then Bluebird has grown to be one of the largest providers of childcare, vacation care, before-school and after-school care in the South West.
"All children deserve to feel loved, be cared for and educated. Bluebird is making a difference to the lives of children and our future generations," Jane said.
"We are a 'family caring for family' and are proud to provide such vital childcare and early learning services to all families."
"We go beyond the traditional and provide a Bluebird bus service that includes home pick-up and drop-off services and extracurricular delivery and pickups, as well as casual care and tourist and visitor care."
"We love that our buses are becoming a famous sight around town."

All of the Bluebird centres are based in refurbished houses, offering a homely feel.
"We have invested in our outdoor spaces so that our children are able to play outside as much as possible, and it's always safe and protected," Jane said.
"One thing we are really excited by is our new Albert Street location (opposite McDonald's), where we have brought in antique pieces in order to create a heritage setting."
"Children will be able to play with old dial-up phones, typewriters, quill pens, washboards, knitting and experience first hand the skills that seem to be getting lost these days."
The team at Bluebird are proud to play a part in each child's early learning journey and love being able to bring happiness into the lives of all children.
"We are very passionate about supporting children and families no matter what their circumstances are," Jane said.
"Time after time we exceed national quality standards, all of our services have been rated exceeding national standards by ACECQA and we won the Best Service-Based Business in all of Australasia at the Business Excellence Forum & Awards in 2017."
"Anyone looking for quality early education and childcare can come to a Bluebird centre where the team at Bluebird are extremely proud to remain family owned and take huge pride in being a service that feels like family."
"We have a very close working relationship with community departments that help children and families."
"We also hold our annual community Christmas party where we invite the whole community to attend."
