Changes in weather and withdrawal due to injury meant the ladies pairs championship was held over three days instead of two at the Dunsborough Bowling club.
This championship once again proved how close all bowlers are within the club and on any given day upsets can occur or favourites are pushed to the limit.
Going into the last game any one of three teams could wear the championship crown but it was skipper Helen Reynolds and partner Liz Wilson who triumphed.
This pair drew and lost just one game.
Reynolds played remarkably well with many shots coming in to save going down by three or more and taking the jack back to claim multiple scores.
Wilson herself is fast becoming known in the clubhouse as a first-class lead and was critical in many games in establishing a great start.
Former pairs champions Sharon Sharpe and Sue Chester were the runners-up with two losses.
One of which was by just one shot.
