For the first time ever the Margaret River Orchid Society will hold its annual show in Busselton at Churchill Park from 10 am to 3pm on September 12 and 13, 2020.
Club plants will be available for sale on both days but you will need to be early as they sell out very fast.
Morning tea and light lunches will also be available and there will be a raffle with three prizes including an orchid with each.
People will be on hand to answer any questions on growing orchids, along with vendors selling a variety of different plants.
The first meeting of the Margaret River Orchid Society was held in Augusta in September 1984 and the members decided on the name Augusta and District Orchid Society of WA Inc.
There was keen interest from local growers and others who were travelling from Margaret River.
As membership in Augusta decreased it was decided to move the club to Margaret River as there were more members attending from this area.
The society has successfully run shows at Gloucester Park and Watershed Winery, however after the closure of the winery the society were forced to look for a new venue and decided on Busselton.
The club has now moved their meetings to the Busselton RSL on Causeway Road at 9.30am on the third Saturday of each month.
