In only their second year competing in the South West Junior Football League, the Busselton Magpie youth girls team finished the season as minor premiers and will be playing in the grand final.
Coach Glenn Darby said it was impressive to see that in the team's first year of competition they finished third and have improved this year to finish on top of the ladder.
"They are really inspiring to watch, their commitment is astounding," he said.
Fifteen year-old Ella Roberts has had a busy year playing for both the Busselton team and the Peel girls team.

Darby said she was an example of where football could take you.
While Busselton enjoy a week off, they will be keeping a close eye on who will be winning between South Bunbury and Manjimup.
Manjimup were premiers in 2019, so Darby said it would be great to play and win against them in the grand final.
"They are fierce and competitive, but also good sports," he said.
Darby said he would like to see more exposure of the team so that more girls would join the competition.
"It would be great to get enough girls interested that we could form teams for year 7,8,9 which would then feed into our current team," he said.
Darby said the youth side was a great way for the girls to get experience before playing for the league team.
"We have already had a couple of players fill in for the league side when they have been short," he said.
The coach said that the team's manager Rachelle Pigott needed acknowledgement for her hard work and she was part of its success.
The girls will be playing the grand final at Hands Oval on September 26, be sure to check them out and cheer them on.
