Coles Busselton has provided the school with bread donations for more than two years to help ensure students have access to the most important meal of the day.
The school’s ‘Breakfast Club’ runs three times a week.
It was Geographe Primary School chaplain Trevor Adams who approached Coles originally for a one-off donation, after hearing about their Second Bit program.
The Second Bite program sees Cole provide daily donations of edible leftover food to soup kitchens and shelters in the region.
“They’ve just been marvellous,” Mr Adams said.
“They have bent over backwards – they are just amazing people.”
Mr Adams said the Breakfast Club created a community among students and more than 60 students regularly attended.
Coles Busselton store manager Karla Rees said it was a cause the store was more than willing to support.
“Our team here is a like a family itself and they want to spread that feeling out into the community,” she said.
“Everyone involved wanted to do this.
“We think it is a pretty touching thing to make sure all the kids get breakfast so we are more than happy to help.”
