The owners of Dunsborough’s Chicken Treat store recently announced they would close their doors for their final day of trading on Sunday, June 24.
The store location is one of two sites in Dunsborough’s town centre which was seen as an appropriate spot for a drive-through facility.
This leaves the doors open for another fast food operator to setup shop in Dunsborough’s town centre, or another business with a drive-through facility.
It could also potentially be leased by a non drive-through store which would not mind being located next to a service station.
Back in 2013, the Dunsborough community launched a Dunsborough says McOff campaign after rumours circulated that a McDonald’s franchise would be established at the town entrance.
The Mail understands no application was submitted to establish a franchise in Dunsborough.
