Seashells Resort Yallingup chief operating officer Gareth Thomas was inducted into the Accommodation Industry Hall of Fame.
Mr Thomas is the chief operating officer for the Seashells Hospitality Group overseeing all aspects of management and operations of five luxury hotels along the WA coast.
With more than 36 years’ experience in hotels and resorts across Australia, the UK and China, Mr Thomas has directly managed four and five star properties since 1991.
Mr Thomas said he was always on the lookout for new avenues to further develop the Seashells group within the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Other accommodation properties Gareth has had responsibility for include Reef Hotel Casino in Cairns; the Chifley on Flemington in Melbourne; Rendezvous Observation City Perth, and Broadwater Hospitality Group.
Seashells Hospitality Group chief executive officer Paul King was the proud recipient of this award in 2016.
