A blooming good time is expected at The Busselton and Districts Horticultural Society’s 2018 Flower and Garden Show this weekend.

Society president Ross Reading has been showing flowers since he was five and said gardening was in his DNA.
He believes anyone can give it a go and enter the show.
“We’d love to see young people coming in,” he said.
“Our oldest exhibitor, and one of our best exhibitors, is well into her 90s and she has been doing it forever.”
Categories range from novice and children sections to specimens, decorative vases and bowls, pot plants and floral art .
Entries can be submitted at St Mary’s Family Centre from 1pm to 3pm on Thursday, October 18.
Plants and flowers will also be available to purchase throughout the weekend.
The event will be held at St Mary’s Family Centre from 1pm on Friday, October 19, with presentation of awards at 2pm.
The show will be open from 9am to 2pm on Saturday, October 20.
Entry is $3 for adults and free for children.
