The beach closure and shark advice for Canal Rocks, near Yallingup, has been extended.
The closed area covers the locations between the unnamed headland at the western end of Canal Rocks to the south (past Wyadup Rocks) to a point on the beach north of Mitchell Rocks.
There is a decomposing whale carcass that may continue to act as an attractant to sharks.
The closure includes the area from the shoreline to one kilometre out to sea.
This means beaches and waters in this area cannot be used by divers, surfers and swimmers.
The closure will remain in force at least until 6.00pm on Thursday, January 17, a further review will be conducted.
If you see a shark, report it to Water Police on 9442 8600.
