Legendary Australian hip hop act, Butterfingers, are commemorating the release of their breakout album with an anniversary tour which will swing through Dunsborough.
Considered hip hop royalty, the group had a huge 2018, releasing new music and touring.
Their first record's 15th birthday has drawn them back on the road in 2019 with the 15 Years of Fatboys Australian tour.
Evil Eddie said he couldn't believe it had been a decade and a half since the record was dropped.
"We are super stoked to be hitting the road for the anniversary tour of Breakfast At Fatboys," he said.
"It is a good long list of shows, and there's going to be songs in the set we haven't played live since the original album tour in 2004."
The band are set to play the album from start to finish, then throw in some newer tracks and fan favourites.
Upon release, Breakfast At Fatboys was a triumph for the group, as their cheeky, eclectic brand of stomping hip hop became hugely popular across the country.
Their first two singles, Everytime and I Love Work, both featured on the debut album, made it to triple j's coveted Hottest 100 countdown at 38 and 15 respectively.
The album become a favourite on the station, earning the Feature Album accolade in addition to a nomination for Best Independent Release at the 2004 ARIA Awards.
Eddie said there was a lot for fans to look forward to at the anniversary gig, with a few special moments planned.
"Playing some of those old tunes that we have not touched for so long is the obvious one but there is a specific track with the classy title of Piss On Ya that always gets requested at shows but since it features a female emcee who is not a regular member of the band, we have hardly ever performed it live," he said.
"Fortunately we are taking a female emcee from Melbourne known as Fresh Violet on the road with us and I am hoping we can twist her arm to make a cameo on the track."
Butterfingers perform at Dunsborough Tavern on Thursday, March 28. Tickets are available via Oztix.
